YBhg. Tan Sri (Dr) Sow Chin Chuan was appointed to the Board on 1 June 2004. He holds a Master of Business Administration and awarded a Doctor of Philosophy (Honoris Causa) in Business Emphasis Entrepreneurship from the USA.

He began his working career in 1980 as a tiling contractor. From 1981 to 1995 he had achieved as one of the leading tiling contractor that completed numerous floor tiling, terrazzo, marble projects throughout Malaysia. He had also completed numerous Government (PKNM), JKR, private companies projects for housing development, “Dewan Serbaguna", Restoration of Red House (Stadyhubs), The State of Melaka Mosque (Masjid Al-Azim) Phase 2 and etc.

In 1995, he had acquired famous export furniture factory from a Taiwanese owner namely Shantawood Manufacturing Sdn Bhd. DPS successfully listed in Main Board of Bursa Malaysia in 2005 under the Consumer Sector as a manufacturer of door and window frame, fiber glass water tank, roof-trusses licensed gang-nail truss fabricator Australia Ltd, sawn timber, treatment plant, klin-dry (KD) plant, wooden furniture for the local market throughout Malaysia and export market worldwide to more than 100 over countries. In 2015, DPS had reclassified the listing status to Property Development Sector. He has accumulated experience of more than 38 years.

Beside DPS, he is a substantial shareholder of Sand Nisko Capital Berhad (formerly known as Len Cheong Holding Berhad). He was appointed to be the Group Chairman and Non-Independent and Non-Executive Director of Sand Niko Capital Berhad on 19 May 2007 and was redesignated to Executive Chairman with effect from 13 May 2020 before resigning on 26 May 2022. Currently, he is the Vice President I of Federation of Public Listed Companies (FPLC) Berhad and previously, he has served as Treasurer and Vice President II. Besides this, he presently sits on the Board of Directors of the subsidiaries within the Group and is also the founder of DPS Charity Foundation. He is actively involved in many NGOs and charity.
